About the Founder
I've always loved (had a dream) to write, in particular I've loved sharing other people's stories.
As a young man I wrote for the local newspaper in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Once entering college I dropped my original plan to major in journalism and got a degree in Chemical Engineering, putting my love for writing on hold.
I enjoyed working as an engineer for a number of years but left that to pursue get rich quick schemes (flipping houses), always searching for "something better".
I ended up in one of those classic low points in life where I was divorced and broke in every way possible, financially, emotionally, and spiritually.
I was invited by Gary Moses to a great church, met and married Kari, became born again, adopted her 2 daughters, declared bankruptcy, took Dave Ramey's Financial Peace University, returned to Engineering, and had a new outlook on pretty much everything in life including my work.
After being inspired by Bill Godwin's book "The Power of a Dream", I wrote and published the book "Jesus is at Work - Having Joy and Purpose at Your Current Job and began blogging about faith and work.
I started listening to podcasts and decided to start my own, Spirit Led Men at Work which I later renamed Christian Men at Work, where I interview Christian Men from all walks of life, with varying job titles, who have one thing in common, they are all choosing daily to live out their Christian Faith through their work.
I'm a poster child for unmerited favor. I have a relationship with my Creator and Savior, I have a wonderful wife, 3 kids, and 1 granddaughter, I have an engineering job I love, my wife and I enjoy working on our mini-farm in God's country (central North Carolina) and I'm able to pursue my love for writing and "reporting" through a part-time ministry for men as well as playing bass for my church.
